Sailor Bespoke Limited Edition Commemorative Hiroshima Factory Fountain Pen

The Japanese reverence and respect for the natural world in general and trees in particular is given very particular focus in this new limited edition.

Manufactured in Hiroshima, Japan, since the very start, Sailor pens are well-known as some of the finest and most elegant pens in the world — each created to a very high specification. Some of the previous factory buildings were more than 70 years old. Trees on the site were over 60 years of age.

With the reconstruction, some on-site trees had to be removed to build the new Sailor factory alongside the old factories. The trees are cut down and processed into the barrel, which was then reborn as these beautiful limited edition fountain pens. Due to the natural grains and patterns in the wood, no two pens will ever be exactly alike.

This release features a 21K gold laser engraved nib, as well as an exclusive engraved cap ring, a matching cap finial design, and an individual serial number marked on the end.
