Pilot Limited Edition Houou Phoenix Fountain Pen - Celebrating the Reiwa era

Reiwa (Japanese: 令和) is the era of Japan that began on 1 May 2019, the day on which Emperor Akihito's elder son, Naruhito, ascended the throne as the 126th Emperor of Japan. Emperor Akihito abdicated the Chrysanthemum Throne on 30 April 2019, marking the end of the Heisei era. The year 2019 corresponds to Heisei 31 until 30 April, and Reiwa 1 (令和元年 Reiwa gannen, 'the first year of Reiwa') from 1 May 2019. Reiwa is interpreted as beautiful harmony.

At now, In celebration of this moment, Pilot pen manufacturer is debuting an exclusive The Maki-e limited edition The Phoenix Fountain Pen, it's comes in a hexagon shape wooden box of maple, it's the symbol of "the pardon of the throne", and it is hoped that the age will evolve into the end.It is limited to 800 pieces worldwide.

The pen is made by Togidashi-Taka Maki-e(Burnished Raised Maki-e), on completion of the back ground and other elements of he scene using Togidashi Maki-e, greater emphasis is provided to the main design through the use of other materials such as lacquer and charcoal powder. The result is an impression of stately opulence.It is a masterpiece of Japanese tradition. The nib is made by 18k gold with F , M and B nib.
